School/Center Overview
Division of the Vice Provost for University Life (VPUL) is Penn's foremost provider of student services and educational access. VPUL partners and collaborates with diverse organizations across many dimensions including: race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, historical tradition, age, religion, disabilities, veteran status, interests, perspectives and socioeconomic backgrounds. Duties
The Nurse Manager is responsible for supervising and directing all nursing staff including nurses, medical assistants and nursing students in the Student Health Service. The Nurse Manager has a dual role of administrator and health care team member. The Nurse Manager will collaborate with internal staff including health care providers to ensure patient care needs are met and the larger Penn Community to support school based activities and services provided by Student Health that support those activities. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for determining and maintaining appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs. The Nurse Manager will also work with the Medical Director and Senior Leadership to ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and maintain accreditation. In addition the Nurse Manager will support efforts to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for students and patients from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree and 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Professional license as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Clinical Experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine or Adolescent Medicine preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferably with Nursing staff in a ambulatory care setting. Strong collaborative, interpersonal and communication skills required. Strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusiveness. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as necessary. Ability to prioritize well and focus on completion of tasks and objectives while under stress of demanding work schedule. Familiarity with EMR for both care and reporting preferred. Experience with accreditation preferred.
