Job Description:
Texas Health Organization for Physicians (THOP) is Texas Health Resources' 501(a) not-for-profit health corporation offering an employment opportunity for an experienced LVN/MA to join our staff.

Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

This job offices at North Point Texas Health Physician Group and requires 50% travel to our service areas.
This position is responsible for executing a competency program that will ensure that back office clinical support staff across THPG are educated and trained to provide consistent, reliable and high quality support for our THPG providers. In addition, the quality and clinical outcomes coach will be responsible for assisting staff in their learning process by utilizing materials, facilities, and educational technologies available.

Job Responsibilities
Conduct ongoing competency assessment of clinical skills for MA staff
• Review ongoing reports, reliability briefing, and other assessments to identify knowledge and competency gaps and evaluated whether education or competency assessments are appropriate learning interventions for solution that were determined as issues.
• For ongoing competencies, prepare a plan to travel, observe, and document specific competencies.
• Observe employees in practical application of procedures, assess competencies and provide one-to-one training/coaching as needed
• Explain and demonstrate related laboratory/practical procedures
• Document and track clinical competence

Skill Required:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook),
Excellent ability to listen giving full attention to what others are saying, asking questions as appropriate
Experience with EMR Systems preferably EPIC and Allscripts
Learning strategies: selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience with public speaking, presentation and education/training in evidence based practice.
Judgment and Decision making: Considering the pros and cons of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
Service Orientation: Actively looking for ways to help others

Basic skills in:
Quality improvement process: Excellent Communication, Ability to teach
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Licensure/certification required:
LVN, Registered MA, or Certified MA required, CPR certification

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in healthcare

Minimum Experience:
2 years of experience as an LVN/MA or related job.
1 year experience training or teaching using adult learning principles preferred
Knowledge of clinical tasks, processes and work flow, medical records, and related processes used in a healthcare environment.
Experience in ambulatory setting strongly preferred
